Holy Stud In a Tux, Batman!

I had a few short stories that I purchased before I got to the book I’ve waited ALL MONTH for. I enjoyed one of them and didn’t understand the other but considering it is part of a series I might have to keep reading to get a better understanding just not sure if I want to.

So lets start with the confusing book.  Unmasked, by Cassia Leo, had me lost in the sauce! I still don’t understand what the hell is going on after reading the synopsis for the next book just to make sure I wasn’t crazy. The story is about a young lady with some type of physical deformity that keeps her in during the day and she only leaves at night. Her mom treated her like Quasimodo when she was born so she thinks very little of herself. Blah Blah Blah…

This was like Taken/Hunchback of Notre Dame/Princess Diaries/ The Bourne Identity…there’s no other way to explain this story, at least without telling you what happens. 1.5 out of 5 stars for the sex scenes, y’all know I love a good shagging!

Playing Doctor by Jan Meredith was next.  What is up with the two “first names”  it’s just weird…maybe it’s her first and middle name? I am so off topic back to the book. So this book was actually damn good! It’s about a nurse and single mom, Beth who has been celibate for YEARS and has a weekend getaway planned by way of a wedding. At the wedding she keeps hearing all this gossip about a fine piece of man named Dr. Gabe North, who hasn’t dated and refuses to since his wife died 2 yrs ago. They meet at this wedding and someone needs to call 911! The chemistry is hot hot hot the sex is scorching and anyone with a best friend who says things like, “Holy Stud In a Tux, Batman,” or ” he is lick-o-licious,” is awesome in my book. I really loved how well this novella was written. It was a well-rounded story and I could definitely go for more I really wish there was a continuation to this book. 5 out of 5 stars!

Finally the Piece De` Resistance!

Man oh Man I’ve been waiting for this and although I was mildly disappointed I still love this series…so far. I don’t want to type out the premise of this book, so if you don’t mind please refer to the Blog post titled Damn the Devil and Hackers. It picks up where we left off with Erica and Blake but in this book Blake is different. Too much Alpha and I loves me an Alpha male but I would’ve slapped his ass a time or two if it were me (#youdonelostyourdamnmind) I’ve demoted Blake from book boyfriend to occasional hook up but hopefully he can be promoted again. I was hoping this book would be just as good as 1 & 2 but it felt more like filler or build-up maybe? Anyway, here’s to hoping Hard Limit (#4) brings it all home. 4 out of 5 stars it was worth the read

Happy Reading!
