What happens in Vegas…

I am constantly trolling Amazon for books that seem interesting, the “Recommended For You” list came up with a winner with this one. Lick, by Kylie Scott, was so entertaining I devoured all 219 pages in 3hrs. I would’ve blogged about it last night but I was making pies for Ladies Night.

Spending your 21st birthday in Vegas sounded like a great idea to Evelyn and her friend Lauren but the morning after shots of Tequila can be a little fuzzy. Ev learned it the hard way when she woke up with a hot shirtless tattooed guy and a 5 carat rock on her finger and no recollection of how he or that big ass diamond got there.

“Let me get this straight, you don’t remember anything?”
“No,” I said, swallowing hard. “What did we do last night?”
“We got fucking married,” he growled.

David, Ev’s new husband and lead guitarist for the band Stage Dive, is pissed. He found a girl who liked him for him and not his fame and she doesn’t even remember their night together let alone that they got married by Elvis. She wants a divorce or annulment and he wants neither but she doesn’t remember so does it make him and ass because he wants her to stay?

This is book 1 in the Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott and it is a great start. I enjoyed every bit of this book. Not only was it hilarious it was cute, loving and angst filled all rolled in one. Ev and David’s journey to their HEA was filled with groupies, fights, paparazzi, overdoses and beautiful lyrics. The measures they take to jog her memory are cute and come on…who can resist “topless cuddles” they’re the best! The characters in the story are well written there isn’t much background but not much is needed to figure out what is going on in this story. However, you will find yourself in love with Mal, David’s best friend and drummer for the band, and I plan on starting his story next.

This is the reading order with Play, Mal’s story being next. I definitely plan to read them all so 5 out of 5 stars for this fantastic start in the series.
