Killian, On the Line Book 1…Review

I am not a Hockey fan…but I think I want to be! Wait is it true that none of them have real teeth?? Anyway…

killianSYNOPSIS: Killian Bosch knows he’s his own worst enemy – he just doesn’t give a damn. The star forward of a minor league hockey team, he’s unstoppable on the ice. His reckless behavior, devil-may-care attitude and complete disregard for consequences have made him a major source of headaches for the Fenway Flyers’ brass.  But the new Flyers owner is more steel than brass. Sidney Stahl is a disciplined woman who parlayed earnings from a college job into a real estate empire. She’s determined to transform the Flyers from marketing nightmare to hockey powerhouse. Once she gets Killian in line, she knows the rest of the team will follow his lead. The seduction of his sexy new team owner is a challenge too forbidden for Killian to resist. Sidney plays into his attraction as a means of controlling him, but soon finds that she’s the one surrendering. It’s all on the line as Killian and Sidney are forced to choose – business or pleasure?

Review: I didn’t know what to expect when I read this because I totally judged this book by its cover. Did you see the guy in the picture? Um…yeah.

Good thing the book was good too huh! I enjoyed this very much. I loved that the powerful millionaire was a woman this time. She didn’t take no sh!t and I loved it. Sidney ran multiple businesses and she held her own which is awesome. Well she held her own until she met Killian. His nonchalant attitude and the fact that is he hot as hell had our Boss, drooling and at a loss for words. Killian didn’t let her off the hook either, he wanted in her panties and her heart and made sure she knew it

“Someday, Sid,” he said. “Not today, but someday I’ll make you mine.”

And he loved to talk dirty…

“You like me fucking you mouth?” “I want to come in your mouth so bad, Sid. I want to watch you swallow it all.”

Oh. My.

The only qualm I had is there was minimal drama. I know, I know but I need conflict. There was some pretty good potential here but it didn’t pan out the way I was hoping. I am a sucker for a good villain and we all know that. The assistant and the Ex-boyfriend would’ve made this story all the better if they would have stepped up there game when it came to getting back at Sidney. So for that I am going with 4 out of 5 stars and hope that some drama starts in Volume 2 instead of picking up with new characters.
