SYPOSIS: For four years, Grace Sullivan wrote to a Marine she never met, and fell in love. But when his deployment ended, so did the letters. Ever since that day, Grace has been coasting, academically and emotionally. The one thing she’s decided? No way is Noah Jackson — or any man — ever going to break her heart again.

Noah has always known exactly what he wants out of life. Success. Stability. Control. That’s why he joined the Marines and that’s why he’s fighting his way — literally — through college. Now that he’s got the rest of his life on track, he has one last conquest: Grace Sullivan. But since he was the one who stopped writing, he knows that winning her back will be his biggest battle yet.

Review: I enjoyed this book written by Jen Frederick. The book blurb had me sold, I was thinking Message in a Bottle meets Beautiful Disaster…well it was close just extremely PG-13. It is dubbed New Adult but I would call it more Young Adult as it is more for the 16-20 year old crowd. Anyway, it’s written in dual POV and we all know how I feel about that. I loved how snippets of their letters were woven throughout the story although the letters should’ve shown/told a little more of how they felt for each other. Without the “love” in the letters it feels like the story is missing a piece of it’s puzzle. We know they wrote each other for 4 years but those letters never show how they fell in love.

Grace, the heroine, was a bit “soft” for my tastes. Her insecurities made her a bit too weak…I could see how, at such a young age, she had those insecurities especially when she discusses her family. Noah was the man. He was strong, persistent and worked very hard. I really enjoyed reading his POV. IMO he made the story. Oh and her soon-to-be Psychologist cousin, she was pretty awesome I would like to read her story. So 3 out of 5 stars for this sweet read.
