I’ve gotten my hands on a series that is pretty good. I discussed Book 1, Beautiful Entourage, previously this my friends is Book 2 in the series. Each book can be read as a stand alone since there is no cliffhanger. What I do love so much is you get a piece of the previous characters in each book.
But what will Troy do when Harper, a beautiful blonde, walks into his life. Still suffering over the lost of his long-time girlfriend, Troy is trying to move on and find his place in life. He still doesn’t understand why the relationship ended or why she cheated. As a result, love is off the table.
When Harper hypnotizes him with her beauty, sass, and remarkable intelligence, what will he do? Will be able to keep his promise to himself?
Or will he break every rule?
Review: You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone…that’s the age-old saying and boy it’s proven to be true over and over again. That’s pretty much what you get in this follow-up to Beautiful Entourage(book 1). Troy is also an escort at Beautiful Entourage and he is hotter than hot. I am still trying to wrap my head around the “no sex escort thing” I mean I’m sure it’s possible but Heidi Fleiss didn’t adapt this philosophy. Any way.. we meet Troy in book 1 as he is a partner in the escorting firm and of course and escort himself. He takes a job helping out Harper, who is the best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend. Yeah that’s a lot to take in right.
This story was a little like the first with different characters but it was still interesting to read nonetheless. Their issues were different and it’s written in dual POV’s just like I like it. I love to know what the characters are thinking and feeling. Troy has an ex that you love to hate and Harper’s parents can’t stand that fact that she is single while her younger sister is on her way to being married and having a baby. I guess they look at her like a spinster or something. The chemistry between Troy and Harper is good and the sex scenes are ok, I totally expected or wanted a little more with they way they bragged about all the women they shagged before. But alas, it was not meant to be yet it took nothing from the book. Although there were some issues that felt unresolved when it comes to Harper and her parents it too doesn’t take away from the story. What does take away from this is the ending. The tom foolery that is Troy’s ex and her attempt at Troy and her confrontation with Harper. What are we 16? That was the most childish confrontation ever… And when did they get to New York? Unless I missed something I could’ve sworn book 1 took place in Oregon. This could’ve ended a bit better but it was still at 3.5 star read. Enjoy!
