Conviction (#2 Consolation Duet)…Review

Let me start this by saying if you haven’t read book 1, Consolation, please don’t read any further as there are spoilers below. Thanks!

convictionSYNOPSIS: I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he’s gone.

He doesn’t understand and I can’t make him.

If only he’d see the conviction behind my words—then he’d still be here.

Review: Okay let me start this off by saying WTF. I would’ve died if the man I believed dead for almost a year showed up with my new boo. Slap my ass and call me a pony because I sincerely don’t know what in the world I would have done, jump for joy or slap his cheating ass face. Which is what makes our girl, Natalie, the woman. She handled this whole situation in the most awesome way that I couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what she would do next. She had a daughter to consider, a not so dead husband and the love she and Liam fought so hard for yet she did her best to handle it all. The way book 1 ended had me on edge to see how Corrine Michaels would wrap this up. The characters and story were so complex yet so simply conveyed that you won’t be able to put it down once you start. Liam is an awesome man. To watch everything he goes through as he struggles to give Natalie the space he thinks she needs is rough. I wanted to hug him and tell him it would all be okay. But that asshat husband of hers is a whole ‘nother story. I didn’t understand his logic and it frustrated me to no end that he only wanted to deal with his own pain and feelings and never considered his wife’s. Then or now. Now I will warn you, have some tissues ready for this 5 star ending to another Corrine Michaels’ love story
