Translucent AUGsale

Okay ladies and gents I have read this book and I am giving it my stamp of 2 will be releasing later this fall so grab this now while it is on sale!! Keep reading for my thoughts on Erin Noelle’s Translucent

translucentSynopsis: Sometimes you reach a point where you just can’t take any more — a breaking point, some call it.

The day I watched my husband murder the woman who was pregnant with his child, my point didn’t just break, it exploded like a full magazine’s worth of hollow points firing through the barrel of a fully-automatic AK-47.

I am no longer his American Princess, nor am I his slave.

Now, I’m a murderer in hiding. My name was Bryleigh Carter Oliveira, and that was my story.

Translucent is one woman’s story of breaking free, starting over, and learning to trust again through willful submission.

Review: Man oh man…I was so not expecting this story to be so crazy good!! I mean I knew it was gonna be interesting…hell the book blurb says she shot her husband with an AK-47 but I was not expecting to be so drawn into this crazy mob princess story.

Bryleigh (Blake) isn’t a mob princess in the way you would think, she wasn’t born into the life she was forced into it and she spent most of her life trying to get out. The way out was death and she did what she had to do. I definitely couldn’t blame her. Her flash backs into what she endured had me cringing. Now she is constantly looking over her shoulder even though she is in witness protection with a new life and job; she can’t escape her mind and memories.

Madden is the CEO of his father’s company, handsome and responsible. His brother and co-CEO is a flake and playboy. Trying to get him to be anything but an irresponsible douche is draining Madden and he is tired of it all. Taking another meeting his brother was supposed to spearhead he meets Blake and is immediately smitten. Her quite and submissive demeanor speaks to the dormant-lying Master in him. He doesn’t know her secrets but he wants to.

So I thought this was gonna be another FSOG knock off with a Mob twist, boy was I wrong and happy that I was. This story was so enthralling that when it was over the cliffhanger had me jumping out of my skin with the words, “Oh sh!t” lingering on my lips. The love story was great and was gradual which I truly appreciated. I hate it when the characters fall so hard for each other at first sight, it seems so fake. Granted it’s fiction but give me some semblance of real, ya know?! The flashbacks from Blake’s mob life help you understand her panic attacks and it helps that this is written with dual POVs. Madden takes his time with Blake and understands she is scarred, Blake wants so badly to let him in but doesn’t know exactly how without endangering him and herself. That push and pull makes this story at 4 star read and I for one can’t wait to see what happens next.
