Love to Hate You is LIVE!
Synopsis: Some connections are so powerful they will not be denied. Despite doing everything in their power to fight their feelings, Chase and Arianna decide to give their love a second chance. They hope that the long, painful journey back to each other will have taught them not to make the same mistakes again. This time they’ll get it right. All they need is a little time for the wounds to heal.
Unfortunately, life doesn’t stop just because love is in the air. Just as they begin to reconcile, their relationship is bombarded by crisis after crisis throwing their lives into a tailspin. Had they learned from their past, Chase and Arianna would find a way to lean on each other during trying times. But some people never learn.
Instead of revealing their strength, each challenge exposes their vulnerabilities. The cracks in their relationship turn into chasms as they let each other down time and time again. Hurt and betrayal overshadow the love, and they slip back into old habits. Hiding behind hatred for each other is much easier than facing the truth.
Will they find their way back to each other or will they stay trapped in the space between love and hate?
Review: OMG..I was given the opportunity to read this book prior to its release and I devoured it so quickly I was mad at myself. If you haven’t read book 1, Hate to Love You, then stop reading now and go purchase Book One the link is below!
We pick up where we left off with Chase and Ari but instead of Chase allowing the miscommunication to keep them apart like it’s done in the past he digs his heals in for the girl he loves. Even teaming up with someone he hates just to ensure her happiness shows just how much she means to him. This just makes you love Chase so much more. With all the trauma and drama he stands by his love for Ari and is determined to prove it even when she pushes him away. The roles have definitely reversed in this book.
Ari on the other hand drove me batty in this novel. Now don’t get me wrong I still loved her but she came off a little whiney to me this go round. In Book One she was so strong and confident and didn’t let nothing shake her, however, in this book things got a little rough and I empathized with her completely yet the way she handled it was in stark contrast to the Ari I knew from Book One. I didn’t hate her but I didn’t really like her either and I got the opportunity to discuss this with the author, who is A-MAZE-BALLS by the way!! So needless to say after chatting with this wonderful woman I have a deeper understanding for Ari and respects how she was written so much more.
But my absolute FAVORITE of this whole book was Chase’s sister, Charlie. She was not only the voice of reason, shoulder to cry on and all around best friend; she was flipping hilarious!
“Those sheets smell like sex. Sex you had with my brother. I just landed face first in it. I think it was the wet spot too” She gags. “That is so revolting. the least you could have done is make the bed!”
I can’t wait for you guys to read this book because there is so much to say that I don’t want to ruin it for you. Just know that Isabelle is one of my favorite authors and every thing she writes takes you on an wonderful romantic journey. So 5 stars for this strong finish to an amazing love story.
