moonshot-ebookReview: Holy Shitake Mushrooms this book was good. I fell in love from page one. This girl is every guy’s dream and although there was only a 5yr age gap when they started “dating” she was 17 and he was 22 and I don’t care what you say it’s kinda pervy to mack on anyone under the age of 18. But I digress.

Ty is a great character. She is almost what every man wants in a woman, hell, she is loyal to a fault and that loyalty was her demise. I loved her throughout the book until….I can’t tell you because it will spoil it but it makes me pause in my liking of this character. Chase, the male lead, is exactly who he claims to be and he doesn’t stray too far off of that line. Now where this story is super weird but totally good nonetheless, is the second story being told via snippets from a New York Times article. At first, I thought it was weird and didn’t fit but by the time the second half of the story I began to understand.

A lot of people won’t like this story because of that so let me say if you are a fan of Tarryn Fisher you will totally dig this secondary plot. By the end, I was like WHOA. This starts and ends with a love story but the filling in the middle is what makes it so good, kinda like cake. Mmmm cake. So 5 stars from me folks, this is a winner!

Blurb: Baseball shouldn’t be a game of life and death…
The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase…he started out a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six-foot frame. A distraction who played like a God yet partied like a Devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my perfect world broke apart.
