abf-cover.jpgBlurb: Losing has never been easy for a Maddox, but death always wins.

Eleven years to the day after eloping in Vegas with Abby, Special Agent Travis Maddox delivers his own brand of vigilante justice to mob boss Benny Carlisi. Vegas’s oldest and most violent crime family is now preparing for vengeance, and the entire Maddox family is a target.

The secret Thomas and Travis have kept for a decade will be revealed to the rest of the family, and for the first time the Maddoxes will be at odds. While none of them are strangers to loss, the family has grown, and the risk is higher than ever. With brothers against brothers and wives taking sides, each member will make a choice–let the fear tear them apart, or make them stronger.

Review: Jamie McGuire does it again ladies and gentlemen! I didn’t think the Beautiful Series could get any better but not only get did she give us updates on the characters we all know and have come to love,  she gave us closure; something that sometimes authors forget that we as readers need. I don’t think they know or maybe they don’t realize that we as readers grow attached to these characters and want to know what happens to them once the once the story has reached “The End” and Mrs. McGuire answers those questions and does so effortlessly with this last Maddox Brothers book.

Told in multiple POV’s we get to hear from each character, how life has changed for them, how they’ve grown as well as their ups & downs. I don’t think I realized how much I missed certain characters until I read them. Abby, America and Shep took me back to when I first fell in love with a Maddox boy and trust me when I tell you those girls haven’t lost a bit of their sass in the 10-year span that this book takes place in. Each character felt new but familiar at the same time. I know it doesn’t make sense, but trust me, once you’ve read this book you will understand. We also get to meet some the new Maddox additions in this book and it feels like a big ole family reunion. This is one family I will never forget and Mrs. McGuire makes sure of that with the all the emotion put into this last hoorah…

So 5 stars for this last book and 5 stars for this series as a whole. I loved every minute of this ride and the 5 T’s (Thomas, Tyler, Taylor, Trent and Travis) will always be a part of my book family.
