I’ve been gone a minute so please forgive me. Shelly and I are still diligently reading, however, posting gets hard between work and school. Bear with us, we will get back on it, I promise.
Blurb: Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.
He’s not handling it well.
Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him “space”—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.
While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.
The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit… and her naughty sense of humor.
But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.
As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.
Review: I loved this!! It was like a behind the scenes look at the Bachelor with an awesome love story added in. Like a real love story. So, if you didn’t read book 1 don’t feel bad because this can be read as a stand alone, but guess what? I READ BOOK 1, ROYALLY SCREWED and I am dancing my ass off because for once I have read a series IN ORDER. The best part about it is, I loved the first book as well. Back to the wonderful Prince Henry, who started out a playboy but in the end has moved up to the #1 spot on my Book Boyfriend List. Emma Chase does such a fantastic job with writing Henry and Sarah that you can’t help but love these two together. Sarah is so sweet and innocent that you immediately want the best for her and who knew that the best would be a man who’s slept with triplets. Their banter is funny, their chemistry is great and again the storyline kept me interested and I knocked this out in one sitting. I literally stopped reading at 1:17 am. The story is told in alternating POVs so we are never left wondering what the other is thinking, which totally helps drive this novel. I also love the “fairytale” overtones in this book. Not just the Prince/Princess part, that helps, but the references to other famous romance novels that as a lover of literature tickles my fancy. All in all this book was just wonderfully done. I will definitely add this to my top 10 of 2017 so far. 5 stars folks!!
