On a Tuesday…Review

onatuesdayWe met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.
And it all fell apart on a Tuesday…

Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I’m a “domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego.” (I do have something huge. It’s not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She’s sexy as hell…And a virgin.

At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.

Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.

But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.

Until tonight.

We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it’s seven years later, on a Tuesday…

**This is a second chance romance, inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young”**

Review: I started finished this book while I at the hair salon yesterday. I couldn’t put it down. I literally was reading in the waiting room, at the shampoo bowl, under the hair dryer, in the styling seat while I was getting my hair flat ironed. It was that good! I love a good love story and Whitney G manages to do it right every time.

Grayson (I love this name) is so hot and lovingly sweet it is ridiculous. I am a big-time football fan and the fact that he played added to his sexy. The cover model totally helped. Charlotte was no slouch either, she was smart and sexy and made my boy work hard for her heart. She didn’t put up with his shit At. All.

I loved that this book volleys back and forth between the past and present as well as between voices. We get to hear the story told from Grayson and Charlotte. But let me tell you what, there comes a point in this story when I was ready to slap a hoe, y’all. She was really about 2 seconds from getting it!! The wringing is good and the way the story unfolds keeps your attention. All in all this was a fantastic read for me. Considering I am knee deep in Creative Non-Fiction as well as Shakespeare…Oh! I can’t forget Modern Literary Theory this break from all the drab was wonderful. I give it 5 stars!

Fatal Beauty…Review

WTF did I just read?!?!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000026_00033]Synopsis: Charlotte was a good girl.
Sweet and innocent, a debutante with her Daddy’s credit card and a fiancée who doted on her. She was destined for a perfect picture life in Charleston. Until everything goes wrong.

EJ grew up with everything she could ever want, and bored as hell.
Nothing surprises her and nothing ever changes, and she wants out—whatever it takes. Getting involved with Anthony Jacobs is probably the worst idea she’s ever had—and that makes it irresistible. Until Charlie needs her.

New Orleans. Memphis. Vegas.

Beautiful girls who know just how to get exactly what they want. It’s all fun and games, sexy nights and wild parties. But you can only manipulate your way out of so much, and the body count is rising. When their past catches up, not even a pretty smile will get them out of trouble this time.

Review: Okay. I’ve read books from this author before and this is definitely not what I was expecting. The cover is gorgeous and it actually made me want to read the book. So when it popped up on my Kindle I was ready to dive in. I enjoyed it for the most part. I say most because at one point it got so confusing with the players, people of significance andFB_Teaser4 dead bodies, I needed a post it note to jot down notes. So as you can see this is a whodunnit of sorts.

It’s like Thelma & Louise meets Pulp Fiction, I needed a drink when I finally finished. This book is one that is difficult to review without spoilers. So many things happen that you want to talk about but don’t wanna ruin it for the next person so I will leave you with this..3.5 stars, the main characters were awesome but it gets too messy in the middle and I found myself too confused at times. The ending…AMAZING!
