I saw the last Fifty movie last Thursday with a few of my Fifty Fan Buddies. We decided to do the marathon of all 3 movies that the local theater was offering for $20. There are a few things I want to clear up before I go into a review of this movie, so if you haven’t seen it yet, this is where you stop, okay.
- The quality of film got better with each movie
- Jamie Dornan got hotter with each movie
- The sex got SEXIER with each movie and…
- I loved Dakota Johnson in each movie, she was the absolute best choice for Ana
Okay, now that is out of the way…I didn’t want it to end. I always tend to get sad when things are over, whether it’s a book series or a movie series if it isn’t one and done I hate it! I didn’t want this to end and since it went by so quickly, I feel I didn’t have time to savor and enjoy that this was the last movie. Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a good movie because it absolutely was, however, things progressed quickly in the 1hr 45-50mins of movie. As you can tell from the trailer the movie opens with the wedding and it goes from 0 to 50 in a matter of minutes. By the time you are saying “Oh Shit!” when Jack is chasing Ana on the highway, Ana is already at the bank ready to pay him off. It was just too fast dangnabbit! There are some things that are missing but unless you are a superfan you won’t miss them. I am a lover of villains so I wanted Elena, I wanted crazy ass Leila and I wanted to see jealous Christian fight in Aspen. However, I am hoping (fingers crossed) all of these things are on the extended/unrated version of the DVD, blue-ray or streamed Amazon version of the movie.
Hey people!! I am back. School is finally done and I can get back to my regularly scheduled program, and what better way to come back than with Darker from Christian’s POV.
Let me say that this was my favorite book from the original series so I was extremely skeptical going in simply because Grey was a big disappointment, in my opinion. Well, let me just say, she did an amazing job with this re-telling. 560 pages of gotdamn! I was so into this book that I didn’t realize it was 3am and I was still reading. I had that same feeling of “just one more chapter” that I had when I was reading the original, so for that, I thank you, Ms. James. I couldn’t wait to get to the Leila chapter. I was so curious about what was going through his mind when he felt the need to bathe her and dress her in Ana’s clothes, because if it was me…I would need a little more than submission to forgive you. I mean seriously he couldn’t start the shower and let her ass get in by herself? Bathing someone is so darn intimate and I don’t give a damn if he felt responsible for breaking her or not MY MAN bet not even think about it!!
Wooo…I am back Yy’all. Okay, I just can’t with that scene but I love it so much, but in real life this would not fly Mr. Grey. I also, like the Fifty nutso fan that I am, put the book down, opened my Amazon Video app, and watch the scene from last year’s movie. The book is still better. Every. Damn. Time. So I am giving this reboot 5 awesome stars. I don’t know how much more money this lady is gonna make from this series but I have a feeling she won’t need to write another thing in her life. Kinda like the Twilight lady!

Darker: As Told By Christian
Well, the internet is all abuzz with the release of the new Fifty Shades Darker Trailer. Releasing in a little over 2 months (February 10, 2017), I suspect there will be plenty of Thanksgiving ’17 babies should this movie be as sexy as promised. Click the link below to check out the trailer
