You know how people say you can never believe what you read on the interwebs? That a hot guy online is probably a creeper with a beer gut and a shoe fetish, not the sexy beast he pretends to be?
So I had no clue that the anonymous blogger who contacted my law firm about his naughty website would be droolworthy in real life. Not that I’m interested in him in that way. Attorneys can’t go around sleeping with their clients. Not even if he is the most beautiful man I’ve ever met and so ridiculously smart he makes my nerdy-girl heart sigh.
Besides, he has too much on the line to risk taking a chance on the insane chemistry building between us. We both do.
I’ve always followed the rules. Too bad he makes me want to break each and every one of them.
*** All About the D is a romantic comedy and a full-length standalone. Due to adult situations and sexual content, it’s recommended for readers over the age of 18. ***
Review: ADD IT! ADD IT! ADD IT! This is a TBR must have. Not because it was the best thing I’ve ever read but because it was original, well written and funny. I absolutely adored this one-sitter quitter! The story line wasn’t one I’ve read before and that had me totally hooked. I loved the content and all the D jokes that came along with it (I have the sense of humor of a 12yr old boy…I secretly still laugh at fart jokes).
Josh(H) is hiding several things about his identity but his D isn’t one of them. He is an amazing character and I was totally in love with him from the moment I started to read from his POV. He is different from most alpha males in the novels out there and that is a major plus for him too. Evie(h) is an amazing person and attorney. She has several reasons to be insecure but she doesn’t let it stop her from being great. She has an amazing friend and it is clear she isn’t sleeping her way to the top like some other hoochie in the law firm. The relationship she and Josh develop feels so organic that you can’t help but root for them the entire time. I laughed out loud several times and got completely frustrated a few times as well. I would’ve liked the drama ramped up a little more with the ex-fiance but overall I was satisfied with the story.
There were two characters that will be getting their own book, Kendall(Evie’s bff) and Drew(Josh’s bff). Their appearances here were funny, however, Drew annoyed my pants off and I for the life of me can’t understand how/why he and Josh were friends, which now makes me wanna read their book so I can understand this douchebag. Overall this book was a 5 star read for me and you should totally add it!

He’s rich. He’s powerful. His hand is up my skirt. And I don’t even know his name yet.
That’s where the night begins. It ends in the stranger’s bed, where I learn his name is Alexander and that he wants to see me again.
I’m supposed to be house sitting, basking in the glory of what a wealthy life could feel like. A knock on the door changes my life forever. A dress is delivered. It fits me perfectly. And I want to impress Alexander. I want to experience the rich life, even if it’s not meant to be.
I start to fall for Alexander and the lines between reality and fantasy start to blur. He’s everything a woman wants in the bedroom and everything a woman needs in life. But then I discover the dress wasn’t meant for me. And, yes, it was sent from Alexander. To someone else.
He’s my dirty wish… but now I just feel dirty…
Review: I was initially excited by this book based on the blurb. I was thinking aww shucks she’s gonna hook up with this guy and then have to house sit for him and they’re gonna have raunchy couch and countertop sex whoo hoo, boy was I wrong. I wasn’t wrong about the sex. There was an OBSCENE amount of sex, like so much sex I thought this woman Kootie Kat was gonna fall out. I talking is-it-even-possible-to-be-that-wet-your-puss-should-be-raw type of sex. There was more humping than dialogue in this book. Now if that is what you’re into then this is the book for you. If you need a little substance between your frumping then stay far away from this book.
The book is described as a romance, yet there is nothing romantic about this story at all. First of all, the male lead, Alexander, is a Christian Grey wanna be. I’m talking all the way down to the helicopter flight around the city, however, this guy was a completely irredeemable jackass. There were nothing likable about his character except his big schlong. This guy didn’t even want to share his name yet he expected the female lead to allow his fingers to be…well, you know where. See, jackass. Kendall, the female lead, is…well what is she? Other than an aspiring writer I don’t know. The author never describes her physically except her boobs, which are perky btw, and her writing takes a serious back seat to the amount of f***ing she and Alex do.
So 1.5 stars for this one guys. I love mommy porn but this was just bad.
Blurb: Money or love? Which would you choose?
You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it’s an easy decision.
For me, it’s not. Did I mention it’s a lot of money? A hell of a lot. I needed to go far away to think it through. As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation.
Then, he left.
I thought I’d never see him again. But fate had other plans. Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight. The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed. Carter was dangerous and always on the move. Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary. He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places. A bevy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter’s reputation were never far behind. I didn’t know what to believe. But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot. At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
Review: I was definitely tardy for this party, but nevertheless, I got here and I am so glad I did. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are a force together. The way these ladies write for the Cocky Series is phenomenal! I look forward to more. Each character and situation is unique and you find yourself so in love with these Cocky Bastards that you can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This book features Carter as our wonderful leading man…and yup you guessed it, he’s a pilot! I absolutely LOVED him. He was fun, funny and had a filthy mouth that would make any woman blush. His approach to life was sweet and simple and it was a joy reading from his POV.
Kendall is struggling with a decision that could change her life is so many ways it’s ludicrous. You can tell she is a good girl at heart and wants to do the right thing by everyone involved so you can’t help but feel for her. The chance meeting she has with Carter in an airport lounge leads to one helluva an adventure that I didn’t want to end. Each stop on their tour not only brought them closer together but as the reader, I felt like I was on each adventure with them. The deeper their connection the more I fell in love with them. I also loved how our original Bastard keeps popping up with Mutton
Although each book in the series (Cocky Bastard and Stuck Up Suit) can be read as stand-alones, I love how our original Bastard and Mutton keep popping up. So I am giving this 3 book in the Cocky Series a 5-star rating. It’s good and original and I love it!!
